1931 Ariel SQ4 - Reproducing the hand change/gear changer bar
For starters I need to recreate the handchange mounting point on the frame. It was removed at some point in time to accomodate for the new and very popular foot gear change.
In this picture of the frame, you can se the joint have been cut off.
This is how its supposed to look (With curtesey of Otto Mederle, Ole Sørensen, Huw Parsons):
Now I have a visual on the missing part, now I need the actual Measurements of
the thing, so that I can reproduce it and weld it back on the bike frame.
With great help from Ole Sørensen, I was able to make a CAD drawing of the missing frame stud, and the required fittings. The drawing looks like the following (Click for bigger size):
If you want it a CAD format, please download this file.

This is also partly showing the gear changer as it looks on the Cammy 1931
model.
Also I need to reproduce the handchange bar needed on the bike. I will make a pair both for the 1931 model tank, but also for the 1932 model tank.
