Change History (dd.mm.yyyy):

04-09-2008 - The first cut of alu with the CNC.. please have a look:  First cut.

26-08-2008 - The first controlled program have been tried on the CNC, a simple 100x100mm square drawn in mid air. Now the real trials can begin.

13-08-2008 - The frame is complete, only some minor fixes to be done. the Wireing is complete, and the steppers have been running sone trial runs powered by TurboCNC. Aim is to be using EMC2/ubuntu (Linux), but I need to fix my CNC computer up be be able to meet the minimum requirements for ubuntu installation...

09-08-2008 - The Y-frame are almoast finished.. the hard work is more or less done, only big job is to measure out the position for the Y-frame, and weld the brackets on to the X-frame.. and the CNC need a complete wire job.. but that sould be the fiun part...

03-07-2008 - The Z axis is finally finished, please have a look here: Project - Hobby CNC.

17-06-2008  - The Z-axis is taking shape rapidly, the top and bottom beam were made to specifications on a workshop CNC, as this would have taken me too long time, and I didnt rely have the material for it.  the Box frame is done, and the linear bearings mounted. Only missing to cut the backplate, and trialfit the dovetail mounting post for the milling hea, and make brackets for the 230VAC motor for the milling head.

02-06-2008 - The KG have now been fitted with an oil cooler, many SQ4 bikes are running with oil coolers, so I wanted to try one on my own. Please have a look in the KG section under small problems for details..

26-04-2008 - The x-frame is well under way. Spindle is mounted and motor can be fitted.

05.03.2008 - 3D drawings on the frame design, the milling head is recieved.. Still missing the Y-axis bearings.. but they will come.

21.02.2008 - Again sorry for the long time since last update, but other things needed attention. As for my projects I have the following updates:

I have found several parts needed for my Ariel 4F Project, and even found a spare sloper frame. I have finally recieved the 1931 toolbox and the 1932 tool box hand made. And the 31 handchange and 32 handchange, and a complete primary chaincase recast, which will help out nicely. I have found lots of other NOS Stuff and some is for my cammy.

I stumpled upon an interresting youtube video of a person making a CNC machine out of MDF wood, for milling other wook items, and then found some more advanced CNC machines that were home made, and I suddenly got this urge to build one on my own. So this is the latest project - a home build CNC Machine. Use the links to the left to get some more information.

10.04.2007 - Sorry for the long time for me to update the website, but alot of things have happend on several of my projects.

First, I managed to find a H52 Headlamp in usable condition. it was 100% complete only having alot of years on its back and therefore alot of dents. These have been sorted out, and the shell will go for paint soon. The Oilpump have been modified to use O-Rings, and instructions to do so can be seen om my oilpump pages.Very soon the crankshaft will get fixed. the Crancase house have been sanded lightly and will get a high shine polish once all "bottom" components are ready for assembly.

The Submarine project gets a overhaul, now pumps design will be incorporated.

08.09.2006 - The KG500 seems to be running acceptable now. It is noted that some additional sod is showing on the right exhaust. But this is said to be normal because of the oilflow from the timing side jurnals.

This winter there will be increased focus on the SQ4 Project. I have decided to attempt to restore both my engins, one for 600cc and the other for 500cc.

The VB had no problems, except a clutch nut going loose, and a numberplate welding that broke during the 25 Anniversary drive at 160 Km - Yes a vb is a weld-breaker.

14.06.2006 - The SQ4 Project continues, after alomoast 2 month waiting I have finally been given green light to registre the SQ4 here in Denmark. This is a big relief. Next Step is to get the halftime bush made, and inserted, and have the Oilpump hole hones, to fit the new Oilpump form Willem.

The KG500 is dismantled again, after is was noted that far too much oil was entering the left combustion chamber. New +.40 Pistons, valves and valve guides have been ordered, and will be fitted. First the pistons first have to be modified, to remove some excess weight... Idealy they should be 50 grams lighter each!!! Roger from draganfly have tried this, and says its not easy....

23.04.2006 - For the time beeing the SQ4 project have been discontionued due to the fact that the Danish Government have made it harder to get Motorcycles, without a prior Registration paper, registrered in Denmark. I have been give a verbal and Written dis-approval for geting this project registrered in Denmark. Untill I get a breakthrough in the matter of registration, I will not spend one cent on this project......

The KG500 is under serioush carburetor investigations, and for the time beeing, the exhaust pipes will have to be replaced to make sure they are not causing unwanted carb. mixture behavier.

24.03.2006 - All the dimentions nessesary to remake the missing framestud have been retrieved. All measurements are downloadable from the handchange section. Thanks Ole.

15.03.2006 - The halftime chaft have been removed, and the task of making a handchange arm for the 1931/32 model have been started.

11.01.2006 - Submarines first sea trials took place. Naturaly there was some trimming to do, but the trial was a complete success. The submarine showed all its available functionality perfectly, and next trial will be held with the submarine fully painted and operational.

28.12.2005 - A Roller Bearing conversion Project is under way, and will convert the Ariel KG 500 Twin Timing bearing from White metal bearing to Needle Bearing. CAD Drawings have been made to get an overview of the project, and is ready for download.

27.12.2005 - A New Oil Pressure guage has been accuried from Mike Taylor [AOMCC], and is only missing the right tubing to be placed on the bike.

The Submarine Project is comming to the surface again. I have sert a goal that the almost 2 meter long Submarine model of the American Ohio Class SSBN726 will be sailing + Diving within 2006.

03.12.2005 - The Panel for the new panel tank have been cromed, and loosely fitted to the new panel tank, and the gearbox have recieved a complete overhaul as can be seen in the KG500 new tank  section. the winter project for now is to get some attention to the bottom half of the cammy engine, and prepare the crankshaft. All should be glass plasted.

07.09.2005 - The Crankshaft for the Cammy have been completely dismantled, pictures are in the cammy motor section. the Twin have had the top and pistons overhauled, which is in the KG500 new tank  section.

08.08.2005 - The Cammy project are waking up, and important componants have been received with help from Willem in Holland. (Check the New Part Batch section, and the Oilpump removal, and Gearbox.) A new Panel tank for the KG500 have been ordered from Draganfly to complete my twin project.

25.06.2005 - The Bobbing project is now complete, and Im very satisfied with the result.

21.06.2005 - First Ride on the new bike. Started the first time.

31.05.2005 - Finished the Seat, Barrel, Head and have mounted most of it to the Frame. Missing are the Tank, Oiltank, Rear and front Mudguard for painting, and making the electrical net..
The Mudguards will not go for painting before I have tried to drive the bike, and make sure that no alterations have to be made to the Rear mudgard. (Including the Numberplate light)

10.05.2005 - Completed the Rear fender with Numberplate mounting. The rear seat has been build - but needs to be covered in Non-real leather (-:  Most of the remaining Engine parts has arrived from the Local machine shop. Pictures are updated on the page...

24.03.2005 - I received the rear fender, and it is great. Pictures can be seen in the VB600 Bobbing section.

14.03.2005 - Updated Bobber Project, The Rear wheel is complete, and mounted on the frame.. Looks Soooo Cool.

22.02.2005 - Updated the VB600 Bobbing Project, Rear tire are now in the house.

05.02.2005 - Updated with new pictures on the VB600, KG500 and the SQ4 section.

04.02.2005 - Finaly moved content from free server (Tripod - Now completely clogged with commercials and pop-up´s !!!) to Pay server, you will not se any commercials here (Unless they pay me in cache (-: )
